About me

You may be here because something in your life no longer feels quite right. This might follow a loss, a relationship ending, a career shift, becoming a parent, or simply a sense that something needs attention.

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes it follows a crisis or significant life event. Sometimes life may be carrying on as usual, yet underneath there is a sense of feeling stuck, unsettled, disconnected or unsure of what comes next.

My role is not to analyse you or tell you what to do. Instead, I offer a space to explore your experiences with curiosity and care, making room for both the difficulties you are facing and aspects of yourself that may have been pushed aside.

You don't need to arrive with the right words or a clear plan. We begin wherever you are.

I offer therapy for adults in Forest Hill in person, also working online with clients across the UK and internationally.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Foundation Certificate and a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Psychosynthesis Counselling (Level 7). I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and am fully insured.

My training is in psychosynthesis counselling, an approach that pays attention not only to difficulties and symptoms, but also to growth, identity and change. While rooted in this model, my work draws from a range of psychological thinking and is grounded in relationship, curiosity and care.

As a therapist, I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement, low self-esteem, relationship and family difficulties, burnout, fertility and IVF-related challenges, life transitions, and questions of identity, meaning and direction.

I regularly undertake continuing professional development and attend supervision to support safe and ethical practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I currently have availability for in-person sessions on Tuesday mornings in Forest Hill. For online clients, I have wider availability across the week.

Sessions last 50 minutes and cost £70.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call. Finding the right therapist is important, and this gives us a chance to briefly discuss what has brought you here and ask any questions before deciding whether you would like to arrange a first session.

Our first session is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like from our work together. I often suggest beginning with six sessions. Towards the end of those sessions, we can review together and discuss whether you would like to continue for a longer period of time or bring the work to a close.

Therapy provides a confidential space to talk openly about whatever feels important to you.

I hold a small number of reduced-fee spaces. If cost is a concern, please feel free to ask. If I do not have availability, I may be able to signpost you to alternative options.
