About me
I am an Integrative Counsellor and EMDR therapist.
I can provide you with a safe, compassionate space to offload and make sense of difficult feelings, thoughts or behavioural patterns you might be noticing in yourself or your relationships.
It might be that you need to feel seen and heard by someone impartial, you might want to gain a deeper understanding of yourself through exploring past events and how these might be impacting you in the present or you might have experienced repeated or a one-off traumatic event that you would like to work through.
Through my training and experience I have developed an integrative approach in my practice; I will work with you collaboratively, drawing on theories and offering strategies that will best fit your current concern and you as an individual. I can offer fresh perspectives and approaches to help you make a change in your life, leaving you with a sense of control and empowerment. I can also offer evidence-based treatment to reprocess trauma.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and EMDR practitioner, drawing on theories and strategies from various perspectives including the Humanistic, Person Centred, Attachment, Cognitive Behavioural, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic and Gestalt approaches.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Warwick and I have worked with several organisations including Mind and the NHS.
I'm an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I work with adults on a one-to-one basis over the phone or video.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are held at the same time and on the same day weekly or fortnightly.
Our first session will last up to 50 minutes. This is a chance for me to find out what you'd like to get from counselling. It's also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and to see if you feel I'm a good fit for you.
There would be no commitment to continue with sessions following this but if we do decide to work together, we can agree on a set number of sessions or we can work on an open-ended basis. I will check-in with you at regular intervals to ensure you are getting what you need from the sessions.
