About me

Hi, I'm Lars. As a registered Psychotherapist (BACP) and Counselling Psychologist (in the last year of Doctoral training), I'm here to help you overcome life's challenges and achieve the personal transformation you seek. With extensive experience across the United Kingdom, Greece, and the Netherlands, I've worked with people from all walks of life.

My professional journey has taken me to diverse settings, from the National Health Service (NHS) helping individuals to overcome addiction, complex trauma, and sexual dysfunctions; to collaborating with renowned companies such as Microsoft, Goldman Sachs & Co., and Wayfair, through Employees Assistance Programmes (EAP), to support their employees in building resilience and fostering a healthier work environment.

My approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a deep appreciation for your unique experiences. Whether you're feeling anxious or down, navigating relationship issues, exploring your gender identity or sexual orientation, or simply needing a safe space to talk, I'm here to listen and support you every step of the way.

As someone who has made a significant career transition, I understand how overwhelming change and uncertainty can feel. That's why I take a pluralistic approach, drawing on evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Psychosexual Therapy, to create tailored sessions that meet your unique needs, goals, and personality.

I strive to create a welcoming and non-judgmental space for all individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions confidently. Everyone deserves a supportive environment, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnic background, or religion. If you're ready to take the first step towards emotional well-being, email me for an informal chat. Let's start your journey together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
