About me
Hello and welcome to my therapeutic services.
I am a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor working in a person-centred way. This means you lead the way, and I walk alongside you with care and attention. I tailor our work to your current needs, drawing on different approaches and styles that may be most helpful for you.
I believe that you already have the resources within you. My role is to help you discover them, develop a deeper understanding of yourself, and explore the stories you hold about who you are, your relationships, and your place in the world.
I am trained in, and experienced with, supporting people facing common mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety.
My deeper passion lies in trauma-related work, and I am well-equipped to help you explore life experiences that may have left you struggling in the present day. These experiences can sometimes contribute to developing mental health challenges or affect your day-to-day wellbeing, and together we can work gently and safely through their impact.
Choosing to engage in therapy is a significant step, and it takes real courage to make that decision. It often involves a commitment of time and a willingness to show up for yourself through the sessions.
Therapeutic work does not promise that you will “feel good” all the time. Instead, it often involves exploring your experiences, gaining a deeper understanding of your story and the emotions attached to it, and recognising how these have shaped you. We also look at the narratives and beliefs you may have carried for a long time - sometimes believing they are the only truth - and gently begin to question and understand them.
Some of the emotions we develop are helpful, but you may be here because other emotions or symptoms have become uncomfortable or difficult to live with in your everyday life.
But you are not alone. I am here to walk this journey with you, offering my time, my professional and personal commitment, and a space where you can bring yourself exactly as you are today. You will be met not with judgment, but with understanding, care, and compassion for your story.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
