About me

You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or trying to make sense of something in your life. Perhaps things feel confusing, heavy, or difficult to put into words. Whatever you’re experiencing, you don’t have to carry it alone.

Hello, I’m Kelly, a BACP registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, working with teenagers and adults.

Whether it be anxiety, depression, low mood, self-harm, relationship issues, grief or loss, I offer a relaxed, safe space where you can talk openly and feel accepted without judgement. I believe that counselling is a collaborative process one where we work together to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

My approach is shaped by both my training and my own life experiences, including my own counselling journey, which continues to inform how I understand and work with my clients. I have a particular interest in trauma and ADHD.

I work in an open and adaptable way, drawing on different approaches to suit you as an individual, and allowing space for things to unfold organically so you can feel heard and understood. I value creativity within the process and recognise that there is no single way to heal or make sense of our experiences.

At times, this may mean gently exploring feelings or experiences, past and present, that feel difficult or unclear. At other times, it may involve gaining a clearer understanding of your thoughts, feelings and patterns, and finding new ways of relating to yourself and others.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe that when we feel safe enough, we can begin to explore more freely and move towards growth, meaning, and a stronger sense of who we are.

If you feel you may be ready to begin, please feel welcome to get in touch for a free initial 20-minute call.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
