About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or finding it difficult to cope on your own? You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, family or relationship difficulties, or a general sense that something isn’t quite right. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to face it alone.

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 25 years’ experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. I offer a calm, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly and feel genuinely heard. My aim is to help you better understand your experiences, feel more in control, and find a way forward that feels right for you.

I work with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, relationship and family difficulties, and life transitions. Some people come with a clear focus, while others are unsure where to begin. We will work at your pace, in a way that feels safe and manageable.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and integrative, meaning I draw from a range of therapeutic models to suit your individual needs. These include Person-Centred Therapy, CBT, EMDR, NLP-informed approaches, and other trauma-informed techniques.

Alongside my counselling work, I have a background in social work and family mediation. This gives me a deeper understanding of complex family dynamics, relationship breakdown, and situations where external pressures or systems may be involved. In therapy, however, my focus remains fully on you, your wellbeing, and your autonomy.

I have particular experience supporting individuals and couples with anxiety, low mood, and relationship challenges, as well as those navigating family conflict, separation, or high-pressure roles such as teaching, healthcare, and social care. I also offer culturally sensitive therapy and can support clients navigating faith-based or community-related issues.

I provide online video sessions, offering flexibility for clients across the UK and internationally. Evening and weekday appointments are available.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are unsure what to expect. I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation so you can decide whether we are a good fit.

If you would like to get started or have any questions, please feel free to get in touch via email, phone, or text on 07447 879459

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
