Jo Temple - Counsellor and Supervisor - MBACP (accredited)
Hi, I’m Jo, are you looking for someone that’s a breath of fresh air?
I’d like to motivate and empower you to live a free life. I can be with you on your journey to become the person you were meant to be.
I’m a warm, down to earth person who is passionate about keeping things real.
As an experienced counsellor with a lived experience of anxiety and depression, I feel I can offer you the caring and supportive space to bring healing and wholeness into your life.
Has life become overwhelming and you need someone to talk to?
Maybe you were taught that emotions weren’t acceptable and learned to repress them or distract yourself?
I can help you understand your emotions. Emotions are energy which can be transformed given the right support.
It really is a courageous step to reach out and admit you are struggling and I will help to put you at ease.
If this sounds right for you, then call or email me to set up a free initial 20 minute session. We can talk about what you want to get out of counselling. My sessions are an hour long and are usually weekly or fortnightly depending on your needs.
”The opposite of depression is expression. What comes out of you doesn’t make you sick. What stays in there, does.”

I have extensive experience working with adults at Mind and as a schools counsellor and also a bereavement counsellor with a local hospice. I use sand play, work with miniatures, relationship cards and artwork.
I specialise in helping people who have experienced trauma with an emphasis on working with the body where our emotions are stored. Mindfulness meditation and exploring spirituality are an important aspect to my work.
