About me
I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist (trained at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London) and researcher (University College London, at present), offering CBT, DBT, EMDR and schema therapy, online and in-person in Central London. I specialise in offering treatments (based on research evidence) for anxiety disorders, depression, complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, low self-esteem and high self-criticism.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (awarded by the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London), and am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council as well as chartered by the British Psychological Society.
I have over 15-years experience working across a range of clinical and academic contexts, publishing peer-reviewed research into mental health and receiving specialist, post-qualification training in a variety of therapeutic approaches.
I have completed specialist post-doctoral training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Schema Therapy for anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation (incl. self-harm), post-traumatic stress disorder and childhood adversity. These are therapeutic models which greatly inform my approach to treatment.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Further information
I strive to be a compassionate, respectful and curious practitioner; to create a safe space for the people I work with. I find it valuable to explore past experiences to understand present-day difficulties; translating insight into practical strategies as well as using the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for understanding and change.
