About me

Hi,  I'm Jamie, the founder of BeSeenBeHeard Counselling.

Have you or your loved one been affected by poor mental health? Perhaps you have been struggling with anxiety or low mood, not been feeling like yourself lately? You maybe noticed that everyday tasks became harder to complete than usual?

At least once in our life time, everyone will experience significant dip in their well-being; sometimes it happens as a result of stressful life events or simply factors in our daily life that become overwhelming.

Have you been diagnosed with mental or physical health condition that is affecting you general well-being and your not quite sure how to move forward? Or maybe you have noticed your loved one not engaging in their daily activities and seemed to have isolated themselves from their family and or friend and you feel concerned about them and feel unsure how to help them?

If you answered yes to any of the above, I have good news for you! You will and you can get better and return to the quality of life that you miss or strive for. All you need is to be seen and heard by someone who can empathise with your struggles, offer compassion as well as practical tools and guidance that will change your wellbeing and ultimately your life for the better.

Sharing your thoughts with a counsellor may seem daunting, but I'm here to reassure you that with the right counselling support you can work through difficult and distressing situations. Whether your concerns are significant or minor, I am here to help support you therapeutically whilst we work through your presenting issue(s). Feel free to connect with me via text, WhatsApp, phone call or email for a free 15 minute consultation to explore the possibility of working together and if I am the right person to support you.

My goal is to build a trusting relationship in a secure, confidential space where your voice is genuinely valued. Let's explore your experiences together, whether they're current, past experience or unspoken experiences. I am here to help you to process, understand and begin to move forward from the experiences that were causing distress.

Life can feel overwhelming and you can feel stuck, my role as a counsellor is to help you relax into the counselling process, offer support, be calm and clear whilst allowing you to evolve into the person you want to be.

My sessions are delivered mainly over the phone and through video calls that last 50 minutes.

I appreciate you reading my bio, and if you have any questions then please do reach out to myself and I will be more than happy to assist.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
