About me
Many people feel lost, anxious, confused or overwhelmed; therapy is an effective way to find direction and stability. By collaboratively exploring your values, you will be supported and encouraged to live the life you want to be living.
You are unique.
To be most effective, therapy should be tailored to you — matching your own internal experiences (thoughts and emotions) and external life experiences. Fortunately, there are a variety of psychological therapies and therapeutic practices that together we can choose from, to help you feel the best version of yourself.
My therapy style is warm, compassionate and thoughtful. I want to get to know you, and collaboratively understand how your life experiences have shaped the person you are today. What are your hopes for therapy? What makes life meaningful for you? Using a set of therapeutic practices tailored to your individual needs, we will identify and overcome the barriers that are holding you back.
Send me an email or visit my website (www.therapeuticvaluespractice.co.uk) to book a 15 minute welcome call. In this call we can discuss your current needs and how the I might be helpful to you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have completed three degrees including a doctorate of clinical psychology. As a clinical psychologist I have experience and training in different therapeutic models such as; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Narrative therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, and Solution Focused therapy. I have also completed specialist therapy trainings (e.g. EMDR).
I have been working therapeutically with clients for over 12 years, and began my career working with adults with anxiety, depression and work related stress. I have worked with people of all ages, with a large variety of mental health difficulties and concerns including PTSD, OCD, Bipolar, abuse and trauma. I worked for the NHS for over 10 years, before working privately. I have a passion for understanding the fundamental connection between body and mind.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
