About me
I’m a Psychologist, Integrative Psychotherapist, Author and Clinical Supervisor. I have over 20 years of clinical and practical experience working in mental health and wellbeing settings across the NHS, private practice, and organisational settings.
Alongside my clinical work, I run a wellbeing consultancy and deliver keynote talks on topics such as resilience, mental health, leadership and culture. I’ve supported a wide range of clients, including high performers, military personnel, couples, senior leaders, parents, clinicians and many everyday people navigating difficult periods in their lives.
In my private therapy practice, I work with adults and young people 1:1, as well as couples, supporting people to navigate life’s challenges and facilitate change. My approach to therapy is person-centred, collaborative and evidence-based. I aim to offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, be heard, and start to make sense of what you’re experiencing. I will listen carefully and reflect with you, while also asking thoughtful and sometimes gently challenging questions to encourage new perspectives and support meaningful change.
In my experience, people come to therapy for many reasons: to make sense of painful experiences, to manage anxiety or stress, to improve relationships, to understand recurring patterns in their lives, to make changes and sometimes to reconnect with a sense of meaning and purpose. Clients I work with often seek support for:
- Anxiety, generalised anxiety (GAD), panic attacks, phobias, OCD, health anxiety and social anxiety
- Low self-esteem, low self-confidence and self-worth
- Depression, low mood, feeling sad, loneliness and emotional numbness
- ADHD, autism and neurodiversity
- Burnout, work-related stress, procrastination, perfectionism and career or work transitions
- Trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, bereavement and loss
- Addiction, alcohol and substance use, compulsive behaviours and problematic pornography use
- Anger, impulsivity and difficulties regulating emotions
- Relationship problems, couples therapy, family issues, affairs and betrayals, separation and divorce
- Intimacy, sex, trust and jealousy
- Experiences of emotional, physical or sexual abuse, sexual assault, domestic abuse, victimisation and discrimination
- Identity, life transitions, spirituality, meaning and purpose
- Young people's counselling and support with the transition into adulthood
As an Integrative Therapist, I have been trained in, and draw from, a range of evidence-based therapeutic models, including:
- Contemporary & Integrative Psychotherapy
- Person-Centred Therapy
- CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
- ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy)
- DBT Skills (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy)
- Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
- Schema Therapy & Narrative Therapy
- Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)
- Somatic & Attachment-Based Approaches
- Solution-Focused Brief & Single-Session Therapy
- Couples & Systemic Therapy
- Existential approaches to identity, meaning and purpose
- Eco-Therapy and Nature-Based Approaches
- Trauma-Informed and Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice
This integrative approach means our sessions can be shaped to your individual goals, whether you want to develop practical coping tools, explore deeper emotional patterns, or rebuild confidence and connection in your daily life.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s often the first step towards meaningful change. I offer a free 15-20 minute consultation, where I can hear more about you, share how I work, and you can ask questions to see if we might be a good fit.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP-accredited Integrative Psychotherapist with over ten years of therapeutic experience and more than twenty years working in mental health and wellbeing. My experience spans the NHS, schools, higher education, the military, organisational settings and private practice.
I work with adults, young people and couples, including professionals, senior leaders, military personnel, actors and people navigating periods of anxiety, uncertainty, relationship difficulties or significant life changes.
My background has given me experience of working with a broad range of emotional, relational and psychological difficulties, from anxiety, low self-esteem, ADHD and burnout to trauma, addiction, relationship problems, perfectionism and longstanding patterns that can feel difficult to change.
My approach is integrative, collaborative and practical. Rather than applying one model to everyone, I draw on different therapeutic approaches according to your needs, goals and preferences. This allows us to combine practical strategies for difficulties in the present with deeper exploration of emotions, relationships, past experiences and recurring patterns where helpful.
Some people come to therapy wanting tools and strategies they can use straight away. Others want to better understand themselves, make sense of difficult experiences or explore relationships more deeply. Often our work involves a combination of both.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I currently offer therapy online via Teams or Zoom and have been working with clients online for several years. I have found online therapy can offer the same depth, consistency and connection as in-person work, while also providing greater flexibility and making it easier to fit therapy around work, family and other commitments.
I offer flexible appointment times during the week. Please get in touch for a free 15–20 minute initial consultation, where you can tell me a little about what you are looking for from therapy, I can explain more about how I work, and we can see whether we might be a good fit.
