About me

I am an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) with over 10 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have worked in both private practice and the charity sector. My experience in the charity sector has been particularly rewarding, where I spent six years managing a children and young people’s counselling service and developed a variety of resources to support positive wellbeing.

Trained as an Integrative Counsellor, I am able to offer a range of approaches tailored to your unique needs. At the core of my work is a person-centred approach, where I believe that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to offer support as you explore, process, and navigate the challenges you may be facing. I will also support you in recognising the issues you are dealing with, identifying where you want to be, and responding to those challenges in a healthy, constructive way.

My passion is creating a safe and supportive space where you can feel more connected and in tune with yourself, helping you lead a more fulfilling life. I will work with you collaboratively to understand your goals for therapy, offering a compassionate environment to explore your concerns. Together, we’ll work on building personal resources that foster resilience and wellbeing, benefiting you not only during our sessions but also in your everyday life.

In addition to my private practice, I continue to work in management within the charity sector, where I focus on developing training and resources for counsellors, mental health practitioners, and other professionals.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
