About us

We are a small team of therapists with diverse backgrounds, areas of expertise, and qualifications, based in Blackheath, Southeast London, and online. We offer Existential, Psychodynamic, Person-Centred and Integrative therapy for individuals and couples, and work with both young people and adults.

Our therapists are specialists in a variety of areas, including narcissistic abuse and coercive control, ADHD, teen therapy, attachment-based therapy, supporting families of children with additional needs, behavioural addictions, trauma, disordered eating, childhood trauma, and relationship and sex difficulties.

Unlike larger services, Heathwell is run by counsellors and psychotherapists who have lived and worked locally for years.

We know that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming and sometimes confusing, which is why we strive to make the process simple and personal. With our flexible, client-first approach, we take the time to understand your unique needs and offer support tailored to you. We offer therapy in different languages and work with a wide range of clients and issues.

We understand that life’s challenges don’t fit into neat categories, and neither should therapy. We know that beginning therapy can feel overwhelming—whether it’s the uncertainty of finding the right therapist or simply taking that first step. Our goal is to ease that process by making it simple to connect with a therapist who fits your needs, whether you're looking for face-to-face sessions in Blackheath or prefer the flexibility of online therapy from anywhere in the UK.

Training, qualifications & experience

All our therapists are registered with professional bodies (BACP, BPC, TSP, COSRT, NCIP), highly trained, and bring many years of experience in their respective specialities.

Visit our website for a detailed description of each therapist's experience, approach, and qualifications.

Member organisations *

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
