About us
Oxygen Breathe counselling will be provided by Oxygen Recovery’s qualified counsellors, along with counselling students in their final year of study. Our student counsellors are registered on a BACP recognised course and are supervised externally.
We aim to provide a service that is most suited to the individual seeking our help. We will work with each clients to ascertain which counselling modality will meet their needs.
Sharing how you feel with one of our counsellors could help you gain perspective and enable you to cope better. Oxygen Breathe supports people in gaining back control to move on to a more positive future.

Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Affordable counselling for anyone who needs to talk
Oxygen Breathe is a new, affordable counselling service. We can help whether someone is struggling with daily pressures, dealing with a crisis, overwhelmed with caring responsibilities, feeling trauma from a past experience, or if they just can’t put their finger on the problem. If you are over 18 and live in Hertfordshire, we can help you.
People in the local community who need our help and can afford it, will be asked to pay the market-rate for a counselling session. Those who need our help but can not afford the market rate will be offered sessions at a pay-what-you-can-afford rate.
