About me

Hi, I am Gail - owner of Inner Zen Counselling Therapy and Holistic Healing.

Thank you for viewing my profile and taking this first step!

Sometimes life doesn't go the way we want it to, or turn out as expected - these experiences can overwhelming, possibly leading to anxiety or depression. In these times we can find it hard to cope with what's going on and may need a little support and guidance, to help us understand our emotions, and see a way forward through our situation.

That's when counselling can be extremely empowering and life changing, where we will work together to enable you to have clarity of mind and see a clear way forward.

As well as having the training, qualifications and work experience - I have also had several trying and challenging times in my own life where I have had to seek personal therapy, so I can appreciate just how scary and confusing taking the first steps into therapy can be. Be rest assured - I am a warm, empathetic therapist offering a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space for you to feel heard.

I bring a wealth of ability and compassion to my practice, empowering you to explore your inner thoughts, overcome challenges, and gain an understanding of any issues affecting your wellbeing.

Being a qualified Integrative Counsellor, means I am trained in, and can employ multiple different therapies and techniques - allowing us to work together on what works best for you as an individual - as opposed to 'one method suits all' approach!

I am also a qualified and licensed Holistic Healing Practitioner. This enables me to uniquely use (where desired) integrative counselling both independently - and in conjunction with holistic healing, to address and balance the mind, body, and soul. I am dedicated to supporting and guiding clients on your transformative journey towards healing, growth and overall wellbeing.

I offer one-on-one counselling for adults and teens 16yrs and over - in person, over the phone, or online - at a pace that's right for you.

If you have any questions or would like to find out more please get in touch for a free, no obligation, informal chat.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
