About me

I bring a warm, anti-discriminatory, and open-hearted approach to my practice. This is a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where we can move through whatever you're facing together, including any aspects of your experience that may feel dangerous or unspeakable.

People are more unique than a single perspective can contain. My therapeutic approach is integrative which means I'm trained to draw from a broad theoretical basis including humanistic and existential models, somatic and trauma-informed psychotherapies, and psychodynamic and contemporary psychoanalytical frameworks.

I work at depth in an embodied, relational way. This means I use somatic practices to recognise and explore relational patterns. We're all continually formed in and of relationship, and we’ll access this innate capacity for transformation through the relationship we build together.

I consider that both mental health challenges, and neurodivergence, can cause people to be disabled in ways that are not visible, and I’m sensitive to the oppressions that you may face because of this.

I’m an LGBTQIA+ and GSRD (gender and sexual relationship diversity) affirming therapist. This is a welcoming, trauma-informed space for clients exploring identity, belonging, and relational complexity.

I enjoy working with people from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds, facing a wide range of issues. This includes people with complex developmental trauma, people who have multiple psychiatric diagnoses, people with visible and invisible disabilities, and trans, non-binary, and neurodivergent folks.

Some common themes across my work include: abuse, addiction, ADHD, anxiety, autism, BDSM, bereavement, childhood trauma/complex developmental trauma, compulsion, depression, diagnosis, disability, discrimination, dissociation, eating disorders, gender and sexual relationship diversity, gender dysphoria, gender identity, insomnia, kink, loss, low self-esteem, marginalisation, medical trauma, neurodivergence, obsession, OCD, parenting, pathologisation, phobias, polyamory / ethical non-monogamy, psychiatric illness, PTSD, psychosis, queerness, relationship problems, religion, self-harm, sexuality, shame, spirituality, and stress.

I hold full professional indemnity insurance. I’m a registered member of BACP and I work in accordance with their ethical and professional codes of practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a BACP-registered integrative therapist/counsellor, trained at the Minster Centre, one of Europe’s leading institutions for Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
