As a 20-year dual-qualified Specialist Psychotherapist and former Barrister, Erin offers a unique safe-haven of warmth, strength and exceptional insight, for deep psychological healing and profound personal transformation. Erin is also an Executive Transformational Coach and Accredited Mediator.
Providing a unique peer-led sanctuary, Erin bridges the gap between psychological restoration and strategic life-recovery for those navigating high-complexity transitions and complex trauma. She is passionately committed to supporting and facilitating post-traumatic growth, and to guiding you “home” to yourself.
Erin works not only with individuals but also with couples and families navigating the impact of significant life experiences, trauma and transitions. These include: Complex PTSD, Divorce, major Professional transitions, Bereavement, Domestic and Psychological Abuse and Childhood Trauma, as well as supporting those managing Chronic Pain, Eating Disorders, and Addiction.
Erin brings an exemplary ability to ensure every individual within a Couple or Family system feels seen and heard, instilling trust in the therapeutic process even in the most challenging relationship dynamics.
Training, qualifications & experience
Erin’s Clinical approach combines evidence-based Psychological therapies including Psychodynamic and Existential influences, with Somatic, Body-centred techniques and, where appropriate, Spiritually-informed practices. She believes enduring peace arises when the Psychological, Physical, and Spiritual aspects of self are addressed together.
For her Legal Professionals, Erin warmly welcomes Clients in-person at her Edinburgh West End sanctuary, on-site within Firms, Stables, or Chambers, and online.
Both within Law Firms and Stables or Chambers, Erin offers the privacy and comfort of a discreet, in-house service. Here, her support can be utilised on a regular basis, providing high-level Coaching or Psychotherapy as an active wellbeing resource.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
