About me
As a Play and Creative Arts Counsellor for Children and Young People, I provide a warm, safe, and accepting therapeutic space where children and young people can explore their feelings, experiences, and challenges through play, creativity, and the therapeutic relationship.
My work is grounded in the person-centred approach, based Non- directive by Virginie Axline and on Carl Rogers’ core conditions of empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe that when children and young people feel deeply heard, accepted, and understood, they are better able to express themselves, process difficult experiences, and move towards healing and growth.
Through play and creative arts, I support children and young people in developing emotional resilience, strengthening self-awareness, and reconnecting with their confidence, inner resources, and sense of wellbeing.
For Play Therapy sessions Must to:
Fill out SDQ (The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire) - The SDQ is a brief behavioural screening questionnaire:
- For 3-16 years old - Its use is commended by Ofsted
Referral Form for Therapeutic Intervention – detailing some form of a child’s/ young person misbehaviour;
- Parent’s permission;
- Parent Interview Form;
Throughout the therapy sessions, I may be able to support them in regaining their soul’s playfulness and lightness.
