About me
Hello, I’m Craig, a fully qualified psychotherapist and art therapist based in central Sheffield. I offer face to face sessions in Sheffield and online sessions throughout the UK.
Life can be challenging at any age, maybe leading to anxiety, stress and feeling overwhelmed. Low self esteem and lack of confidence can leave us feeling stuck, lacking motivation and unsure how to move forwards. Previous issues and trauma can lead to depression, low self worth and unhelpful patterns of behaviour. It can be difficult to know what to do next and how to reconnect with life happening around us.
How I can help
I can help you to explore your problems and make sense of what's troubling you.
I provide a calm and confidential space where you can talk about your thoughts, feelings and worries. I am friendly and accepting and give you the freedom to be yourself without judgement.
Working together we can begin to explore and make sense of what's troubling you and work through concerns at your own pace.
Some examples from previous clients were thinking about past issues to gain clarity, increasing self-awareness, improving self esteem and self confidence, exploring depression and sadness, exploring neurodiversity, exploring sexuality.
Sometimes it can be difficult to understand your thoughts and feelings or find the right words.
I offer the use of art materials alongside talking if you wish to try this, which can often help to express yourself in a different way. This can be especially useful for children who may struggle with talking therapy. You don't need to be good at art and it is your choice if you wish to explore this, there's no pressure.
My Approach
I work with a collaborative and non-directional approach. This means that we work together and focus on the things you need as an individual. It can involve exploring what you are going through right now and also exploring the past to understand how earlier experiences may affect your current issues. We work at your own pace to ensure that you feel safe and supported.
Getting Started
Your first session allows us to get to know each other. You will get a sense of what it’s like to work with me and if you feel I’m the right therapist for you.
It also gives me a chance to begin to understand your issues and concerns, ensuring my skills and experience are what you need. You can also look at art materials if this is something you want to try.
When we've booked your initial session, I’ll send you details of our working arrangements.
I'm happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about therapy and my service.
A phonecall may feel easier before booking a session. You can request a phonecall or simply call me and leave me a message. Or you can email me. I aim to answer all queries within 48 hours.
Taking the first step can be difficult but please do get in touch with any questions or to book a session. I look forward to hearing from you.
