About me
Hello and welcome to my profile. Are you looking for a safe space to grow, overcome present or past difficulties, or to find your way forward? If so, you are not alone, and you are most welcome to get in touch.
I focus on building a safe, non-judgemental and supportive therapeutic relationship where you can experience acceptance, growth, healing and empowerment. I am aware it can be very difficult for you to trust a stranger, so I aim to make the process as easy and as transparent as possible.
I work in an integrative and collaborative way, which means I use a wide range of tools from different psychotherapy approaches to tailor appropriate ways of supporting every individual, depending on their personality, preferences, specific difficulties and needs.
Having gained a BSc in Psychology (Bachelor of Science) before becoming a therapist, I have a profound understanding of the human mind - thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and how these work; therefore, I believe I can add much more value and depth to helping you overcome difficulties and achieve lasting positive change.
I OFFER A FREE 20-MINUTE CONSULTATION to see if we are a good fit. If we both feel we are, we will have a first 1-hour conversation (or a bit longer if needed) in which you can share more about your difficulties and expectations. I will also explain how I work, and we will decide together on an approximate number of sessions that can be readjusted as we go. We will have weekly sessions of 50 minutes, and I will check with you regularly to make sure your needs and goals are met. The sessions are in person or online.
I have lived in a few countries in Europe. I'm familiar with the challenges involved in moving and adapting to different nations and cultures. I speak 3 languages fluently and offer therapy in English, Spanish, and Romanian.
Training, qualifications & experience
BSc in Psychology (Bachelor of Science), Babeș-Bolyai, Cluj-Napoca, Romania
DipHE in Counselling. I am in my final year of a BA (Hons) in Counselling (2022-2027), Middlesex University, London.
I have been seeing clients for almost 3 years in a local charity in London, and in Spain before moving to the UK. I've been supporting people from different walks of life, cultural backgrounds and countries, presenting with a wide range of issues including (but not limited to) anxiety, stress, depression, low mood and low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, abuse, trauma, sleep problems; ADHD, loss, bereavement, relational and couple issues, divorce, stress related to work, unemployment or major changes in life, bullying, chronic physical illness and loneliness.
Here is a recent review from a client:
'Before my sessions with Corina, I had tried different types of therapy which never led to long-term improvement. With Corina, I was able to truly be myself and share without hesitation. She strikes a great balance between professionalism and a personal approach, knowing when to lighten up a situation with humor and when to ask the right questions. Sessions with her rarely felt like therapy, but rather a point in the week where I could just take a deep breath and reflect on how far I'd come. Therapy with Corina has truly changed the way I think about myself and how I deal with stressful events.' (Mary - name changed for privacy)

Further information
Life is sometimes challenging, and it feels different for every individual. Your story is unique and incredibly valuable. When you are going through difficult circumstances, you don't have to face them alone; you might want to have someone alongside who can support and encourage you.
I can help you explore and process your unique feelings and issues by offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space, where we can work together until life feels good or much better again, or until you find a resolution that you are happy with. I will support you in seeking different perspectives on current or past challenges, in making important decisions, navigating transitions and major life changes. I will help you deepen your self-awareness, your understanding of personal issues or those related to relationships with significant others, and I will assist you in increasing resilience, which in return will prepare you to better face both present and future difficulties. Together we can work towards long-lasting results that will impact your life satisfaction and well-being in a positive way, both in the near future and in the long run.
If you would like to get in touch, please email me describing a few details about yourself (e.g., age, gender, relational status, etc), the reasons you feel you need therapy at this time, what you hope to achieve, your availability for an initial 20-minute conversation, and your phone number. Thank you!
