About me
Hello and welcome to my page; feel free to look around, and if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
I am a qualified Humanistic Gestalt counsellor based in Eastleigh. I believe you can only go as far as your counsellor has been. This lived experience means I don't just imagine what you have been through; I have worked through similar situations, which I feel enriches the work we can do together. I see clients at my home, but I also work online in any area.
I work face to face, walk and talk, zoom and telephone counselling. I offer long and short-term counselling.
I see myself as a collective counsellor with further training in different types of counselling, including CBT, Solution-Focused, Person-Centred, and TA counselling. I create a solid therapeutic relationship and use my knowledge to tailor the sessions to meet your needs. I would describe myself as a collaborative counsellor where we can see clear patterns that enable change.
I am a naturally empathetic, respectful, open, and honest counsellor. I have extensive experience with people and being inclusive, and I work carefully with differences and diversity.
I understand the importance of finding the right counsellor, so I offer a 15-minute complimentary induction over the telephone to evaluate what you're looking for and how best we can work together.
I have specialist training in sex and porn addiction and have stopso training for offenders and partners, and I can work individually and with couples in this area. I also run support groups for sex and porn addiction and support groups for partners. I also work with drug and alcohol issues.
I have specialist bereavement training.
My experience includes qualifications with domestic violence; this consists of knowledge in helping you stay safe while accessing counselling.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
