About me
Hello, I'm Clare. I am an experienced BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and EMDR therapist with over 10 years' experience across private practice, the NHS and local authority services. My aim is to support you to recover from the difficulties you are experiencing so that you can get back to being yourself and reconnect with what matters most to you.
I offer CBT and EMDR, evidence based psychological therapies recommended by NICE. Anxiety disorders, depression and trauma-related difficulties are highly treatable, and many people make lasting recoveries with the right support.
CBT is an evidence-based, structured and goal-focused therapy that helps people understand the factors maintaining their difficulties and develop effective strategies to overcome them. Therapy focuses on making changes in the present and equipping you with practical tools and skills so that you can become your own therapist and maintain progress long after therapy ends.
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing or traumatic memories so that they no longer have the same impact on everyday life.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss how therapy could help, please feel free to get in touch.
