About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to make sense of what's going on for you right now? Maybe you've been carrying anxiety for a while, or you're finding it hard to cope with stress, low mood or relationship challenges. Perhaps you're supporting a child or teenager who's struggling, and you're not sure where to turn to next. If any of this feels familiar, you're not alone - and you don't have to figure it out by yourself.

I'm a qualified integrative counsellor offering a warm, calm and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, explore what's happening beneath the surface, and begin to feel more grounded and understood. My approach is relational, meaning we work together at your pace, focusing on what you need rather than following a fixed agenda.

How I Can Help

People often come to me when they're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or disconnected from themselves or others. In our sessions, we gently explore your experiences, emotions, and relationships, helping you understand what's going on and find ways forward that feel manageable and authentic.

You might want to:

  • make sense of difficult feelings
  • understand why certain situations feel so hard
  • explore past experiences that still affect you
  • improve confidence and self-esteem
  • navigate family or relationship challenges
  • support your child or teenager through a tough time

Whatever brings you here, my role is to offer a safe, steady space where you can feel heard, supported and able to explore things without pressure.

Working with Adults

With adults, I draw on humanistic and psychodynamic approaches to help you understand your inner world, your relationships and the patterns that shape your life. Together we look at what's happening for you now, while also gently exploring the experiences that may have influenced how you cope, relate and feel today.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm presence, the space to talk freely and the sense of being genuinely understood.

Working with Children & Young People (9-18 years)

I also specialise in counselling children and young people. If you're a parent seeking support for your child, you may have noticed changes in their mood, behaviour, confidence or friendships. They might be struggling with anxiety, school pressures, identity questions, or big emotions they don't yet have the words for.

I offer a warm, age-appropriate space where young people can express themselves in ways that feel natural - through talking, creative tools, or a mix of both. My aim is always to help them feel safe, understood, and empowered to make sense of what they're experiencing.

What Sessions Are Like

Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to you. Some people want space to talk and reflect; others prefer a more focused approach. Some young people need gentle structure; others need freedom to express themselves creatively. We work in the way that suits you best.

You don't need to know where to start - that's something we figure out together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
