About us
If life seems overehelming, you may be experiencing stress and anxiety. This can affect work, relationships and sleep, seems never ending and is just exhausting! If you are fed up with this vicious cycle, CBT can help you make changes that lessen anxiety and make life more manageable.
I am experienced in working with people to gain control of and manage stress and anxiety, whatever the cause. My compassionate CBT approach focusses on self-awareness and relaxation before untangling negative thoughts and unhelpful coping which keep us stuck. Here we learn to identify triggers and adapt thoughts and actions to instil calm, think rationally and gain self-acceptance.
Together we will work towards your goals and gain effective coping strategies. This means you will learn to be more aware of your unique experience of stress and anxiety, and be able to make helpful changes.
Sessions are at your pace ensuring goals are achievable and easily maintained beyond your time in therapy.

Further information
I am an Accredited Member of the the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), and abide by their Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
Typical treatment involves working together to calm a busy mind, reframe negative and anxious thoughts, and create new, helpful habits to gain balance. Through practice you will feel more in control, better able to manage stress and anxiety, and improve sleep - which makes everything better!
I lead with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, but additional training means I can adapt to other approaches depending on what you want to achieve. Sessions are therefore tailored to your needs and goals, which can be determined at our first session, or may change during treatment.
