About me
You might be here because you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, angry, or burnt out. Maybe you’re carrying loss, or finding it hard to cope with changes in your life or relationships. Perhaps you’ve tried to manage things on your own, but it’s becoming too much.
If that’s you, you don’t have to go through this alone. Counselling offers a space to pause, breathe, and begin to make sense of what you’re feeling.
My approach
Counselling with me is about gently slowing down and giving yourself the time and space you need. Together, we’ll look at both your past and your present, helping you build greater self-awareness and understand how your experiences have shaped you.
Counselling isn’t just about talking through struggles; it’s also about discovering who you are and creating healthier ways of coping when life feels overwhelming. My aim is to support you in finding clarity, strength, and new ways forward.
I often bring in creative methods alongside talking therapy, which can help express feelings and experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
What issues can I help with?
- Anxiety, stress, depression
- PTSD and trauma recovery
- Relationship challenges
- Self-esteem and confidence
- Life transitions and loss
- Domestic abuse and family struggles
- Navigating faith, identity and meaning
How counselling can help you
When you’re overwhelmed, stressed, or stuck, it can feel like there’s no way forward. Counselling offers a safe space to pause and begin untangling what feels too heavy to carry alone.
Working together can help you:
- Make sense of your feelings - understanding why you react the way you do, and finding clarity in confusion
- Break unhelpful patterns - exploring how past experiences shape the present, and learning new ways of coping
- Build self-awareness - noticing your needs, your limits, and what truly matters to you
- Strengthen self-care - moving from putting everyone else first to valuing yourself without guilt
- Find healthier coping tools - so when life throws curveballs, you feel more resilient and grounded
- Feel seen and supported - knowing you don’t have to go through it alone
What to expect from our first session
The first session is about giving you the chance to get to know me, and for me to begin to understand your hopes for counselling. We’ll spend time discussing what brought you to counselling, what you would like to focus on and what you hope to gain from our work together.
I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and together we’ll decide what feels right for you moving forward. There’s no pressure to share everything at once - it’s simply a gentle starting point where we begin building trust, understanding, and a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Free 15-minute discovery call
If you’re considering counselling and would like to see if we’re a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute discovery call via telephone or Zoom. This is a chance to share what’s on your mind, ask questions, and decide whether you’d like to work together.
To arrange your free call, please feel free to email me, text me, leave a voicemail, or click the 'Book intro call' link in my bio, and I will respond promptly to set up a convenient time.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a Christian professional membership organisation for those involved in counselling/psychotherapy and linked professions, i.e. pastoral care, coaching and spiritual direction, in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
