About me
Trauma‑informed counselling for adults who feel emotionally disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck in repeating relationship patterns.
When you’ve spent a long time coping by pushing feelings down, overthinking, or putting others first, it can start to feel like you’re living on the surface of your life. You might look fine on the outside, but inside feel anxious, numb, unsure of yourself, or caught in the same dynamics again and again.
I offer a calm, non‑judgemental space where we go at your pace and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface. Rather than “What’s wrong with me?”, we begin to explore, “What has happened to me, and how has it shaped what I learned to do to cope?”.
My aim is to help you build emotional awareness and self‑compassion, so you can feel steadier inside, communicate needs more clearly, and make choices that fit who you are now.
You may be coming to therapy because:
- You feel overwhelmed, emotionally shut down, or disconnected from yourself.
- Relationships feel confusing, intense, or you notice the same patterns repeating.
- You struggle with self‑doubt, people‑pleasing, or fear of being too much or not enough.
- You want to understand the root of what’s happening, not just manage symptoms.
I work with adults in Yatton and online. If you’re unsure where to start, that’s okay, we can begin with what feels most present for you.
You’re welcome to get in touch to ask questions or arrange an introductory conversation to see if we feel like a good fit. I offer a free introductory call so you can ask any questions and see whether it feels right for you.

Training, qualifications & experience
My path into counselling has been shaped by both professional training and personal experience of therapy. I understand how powerful it can be to feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted without judgement.
I work in a calm, relational, and trauma-informed way, offering a space where clients can safely explore their emotions, relationship patterns, and sense of self at their own pace. My approach is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration, with a focus on helping clients develop deeper self-understanding and emotional connection.
I am particularly interested in attachment, emotional disconnection, relational difficulties, and the ways past experiences can continue to shape how we feel about ourselves and others.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
