About me

Hi, I'm Charlotte! As a qualified person-centred counsellor, I’m here to offer you a safe, non-judgemental environment from which to explore your thoughts and feelings in the hope that we can unpick and work through them together.  I offer evening sessions and currently have availability.

I have experience with a range of issues including feeling generally low and lacking enthusiasm for life, depression, anxiety and bereavement, and have a particular interest in disordered eating.

Counselling can help you gain perspective, put your thoughts and feelings in order and carve a path back to happiness.

I will follow your lead and support you through the exploration of your issues, standing alongside you through what I know can be a difficult journey. I understand that it can be hard to find clarity in your thoughts using words alone, which is why, where appropriate, I offer creative and exploratory techniques to help you communicate your inner experience and what you're feeling.

I believe the success of counselling relies heavily upon the relationship between counsellor and client, as such, I want you to know I’m a warm, friendly and approachable counsellor who works to empathise and understand what you’re going through and help you feel understood.

It’s important that your counsellor is right for you, which is why I offer a free, no obligation 20 minute call to help you make that decision.

I hope to hear from you soon and together we can unpick what you’re going through.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
