About me

Welcome to Counselling with Kitty

The heart of my practice is encapsulated in the word "with." The therapeutic relationship we build is a partnership that lays the groundwork for your personal growth and processing. My aim is to create a safe, confidential, ethical, and empathetic environment—one where judgment is absent, and complete acceptance is present. In this space, you will feel empowered to make positive changes, discovering your authenticity and self-acceptance.

My Approach

As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I place you at the core of our work. I believe you are the expert of your own life, possessing the autonomy and power to initiate the changes you seek. My role is to facilitate this process by stepping into your worldview and understanding how your experiences and relationships have shaped your self-perception and interactions with others. Utilising a trauma-informed approach, I adapt my skills and knowledge to meet your individual needs while holding space for your journey.

The Benefits of Counselling

Therapy offers a range of transformative benefits, including:

  • Increased self-awareness: Gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
  • Improved coping mechanisms: Learn effective strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and other challenges.
  • Enhanced relationships: Develop healthier, more fulfilling connections with others.
  • Personal growth: Support in achieving your goals and reaching your full potential.

A Little Bit About Me

I have a passion for creative therapies and have personally experienced the profound benefits of meditation and connecting with nature. My experience spans working with children and adults from diverse backgrounds and neurodiversity, supporting clients in navigating emotions, life stages, body image, health issues, relationships, and grief—including complex grief, trauma, self-harm, suicidal feelings, depression, anxiety, and much more.

My academic background in Theology fuels my interest in existentialism, which often surfaces in our sessions. I specialise in helping clients address complex issues related to religious, spiritual, and cult trauma, and I can assist in processing life’s bigger questions: beliefs, values, death anxiety, the meaning of life, and finding purpose.

I am committed to continuous learning and have completed numerous therapy-based CPD courses, including topics such as the impact of boarding school, childhood sexual abuse, domestic abuse, emotional abuse, the trauma of narcissistic relationships, and the LGBTQ+ community.

Services Offered

I offer online counselling services nationwide. For those in and around the Redditch area, I provide Walk-and-Talk Therapy for clients who benefit from movement and nature, as well as face-to-face sessions, during which I can have an emotional support dog available upon request.
