About me

I am an integrative and addictions therapist working with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, grief and addictions. Many of my clients are individuals and families living with neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD, PDA, Dyslexia).

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and hold a Masters degree in Addiction Psychology and Counselling.

My approach in therapy focuses on the individual, their life experiences, personality and what it means for them to live authentically. Working with person centred- practices I combine traditional talking therapy with somatic body- mind connection.

My training in Compassionate Inquiry with Dr Gabor Maté gives me an in-depth appreciation of how past life events or trauma play a role in understanding one’s world view, emotions and patterns in the present- and how to bring about compassionate change.

I have worked with the The Priory Group since 2020 and am a freelance therapist for their general psychology and addiction program, providing individual therapy and wellness/ meditation groups. I also lead my own private practice.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MSc in Addiction Psychology and Counselling and am a registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

As part of my career path I have had the privilege of working/ collaborating with organisations such as the Amy Winehouse Foundation, Club Soda, Mindworks UK, The Awareness Center, Women-who-don’t-drink, Westminster Drug Project.

I have extensive experience in coaching & teaching in online programs for people who wish to change their relationship with alcohol and have provided counselling and out-reach support in community projects and for marginalised groups. Outside my current practice I facilitate women's health retreats.

It is my personal lived experience that has lead me to train as an addictions therapist and I connect with an international network of professionals who continue to work on their own healing.

My continued professional development includes trainings with leading professionals in contemporary practice and trauma informed psychotherapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
