About me

Do you feel the need to talk to someone? maybe you feel alone and helpless to deal with life right now. I offer a non-judgemental, confidential space, where you can talk about whatever it is that’s brought you to therapy.

I am ready to accept you unconditionally and provide you with a safe space to express yourself. A natural connection will begin to grow between us once we feel comfortable together and this will be nurtured. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of therapy and once it is in place you will begin to grow as a person, to accept yourself and the difficulties you face and feel empowered, free and confident.

My training is integrative which means I can use a variety of approaches to help you. No two people are the same and this rule is the same in therapy, so I can tailor your therapy to suit you.

I can offer open ended sessions or short term, you are not limited to 6 or 12 weeks.

Training, qualifications & experience

I obtained my Counselling Diploma with Inter-Psyche which is the only counselling training centre based within the NHS.

I receive regular supervision for my client work to ensure that I provide the best service possible to my clients. I continue to better myself as a counsellor and strengthen my knowledge and skills through regular ongoing training as part of my Continued Personal Development (CPD).

I qualified in 2015 after training for 3 years and completing 100 hours in a counselling placement. I have been working with Mind (The Mental Health Charity) since 2014 working with clients one to one and co-facilitating a therapy group. I have experienced a vast range of clients and have a wide range of experience from working with but not limited to, abuse, anxiety disorders, agoraphobia, bereavement, depression, self-worth, and substance abuse. I am now ready to help you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
