About me

If you’re struggling with anxiety, intrusive thoughts, trauma, loss, bereavement or isolation, or perhaps questioning your sexuality or identity, I’d welcome the opportunity to support you. We can explore whatever is troubling or weighing on you, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.

Perhaps you’re feeling creatively stuck, navigating attachment difficulties, finding it hard to uphold boundaries, or caught in unhelpful nervous system patterns. Maybe you’re seeking a greater sense of meaning and purpose, or simply wondering if life could feel different. Together, we can explore these themes and, where it feels helpful, discover tools and practices that may offer new perspectives, greater balance, and a renewed sense of possibility.

I’m currently offering online and telephone sessions, with in-person sessions in Edinburgh becoming available in the near future. I value creating a safe, contained space where you can feel heard and met as you are. When the weather allows, I also offer the possibility of walking and talking alongside the Forth, bringing the natural environment into our work together.

I come from a richly diverse, cross-cultural background, and welcome diversity in all its forms. I’m a LGBTQ ally, work with diaspora, and am supportive of diverse approaches to culture, identity, and relationships. I also have lived experience of neurodivergence and many years’ experience working with adults who have received later-life diagnoses of AuDHD and ADHD. I have a particular interest in supporting highly sensitive and empathic people who may find themselves navigating stimulus-rich environments.

For those living with autoimmune conditions or chronic illness, I bring empathic, lived understanding alongside more than 20 years of experience working within the holistic and complementary health field. I recognise how much these experiences can affect not only the body, but identity, relationships, creativity and our sense of what is possible.

As a creative myself, I’m especially passionate about working with artists and creative people who may feel bogged down, stuck, ambivalent or disconnected from their creative selves. I believe that the stuck places can sometimes hold important information, and that with curiosity, patience, compassion, and the right support, new possibilities can begin to emerge.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an Integrative Counsellor, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to find what feels most supportive and appropriate for each individual. My work is rooted in Person-Centred counselling, and I also draw upon Transpersonal Psychology, Gestalt and Existential Therapy, Jungian approaches, Dreamwork, and Somatic Experiencing.

Alongside my counselling practice, I bring more than 20 years of experience as a clinical bodyworker, supporting people living with chronic pain and the many ways that physical experience can intersect with our emotional and psychological wellbeing. I am also a Shamanic Counsellor, Clinical Aromatherapist and Scaravelli-inspired Yoga Teacher.

This breadth of experience informs a holistic approach that recognises the interconnectedness of body, mind and soul. I am interested in what emerges when we give space to the whole person, rather than separating our emotional lives from our bodies, relationships, creativity and wider sense of meaning.

You don’t need to have any particular connection with, or interest in, the approaches I draw upon. These are simply some of the lenses available to me. What matters most is the relationship we create together: a space where you can feel safe, accepted and free from judgement, and where we can remain curious and open to whatever is present in the moment.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. Rather than arriving with a fixed idea of who you are or what you need, I will meet you where you are and work alongside you as we discover what might support you towards greater self-understanding, connection and possibility.
