About me

ADHD, AuDHD & Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy | Expats, Identity & Belonging | English & Spanish | Online - Individuals & Couples

You may look as though you’re coping well while underneath feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious or disconnected from yourself.

Perhaps you’ve spent years masking, people pleasing, overthinking or adapting to fit in - because of ADHD, AuDHD, neurodivergence, cultural differences, or simply feeling that you experience the world differently from those around you.

I specialise in neurodivergent-affirming therapy for ADHD and AuDHD, including late diagnosis, self-identification and exploring neurodivergence. I also support Highly Sensitive People (HSP) and clients experiencing burnout, sensory overwhelm, dissociation, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, loneliness, masking, identity and low self-esteem. You do not need a formal diagnosis to work with me.

I am currently qualifying as a couples therapist, so, I am now working with couples as well as individuals.

Expats, expatriates & living between cultures
I also specialise in supporting the expatriate community, expats, immigrants and people living abroad, particularly around relocation, migration, cultural adjustment, cultural differences, cross-cultural relationships, significant life transitions and questions of identity, home and belonging.

Living abroad can be exciting and enriching, while also bringing loneliness, homesickness, uncertainty, loss of familiar support networks and a changing sense of self.

Perhaps you are adjusting to a new country, returning home after years abroad, navigating relationships across cultures, or wondering where you truly belong. Therapy can offer a space to make sense of these experiences and reconnect with yourself.

How I work
Therapy with me is warm, collaborative and engaged. I work in a neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, relational and anti-oppressive way, adapting therapy to you rather than expecting you to fit into a rigid therapeutic model.

Therapy is not about changing who you are. Together, we can understand what may be leaving you overwhelmed or disconnected, explore patterns that have helped you cope or belong, and find ways of relating to yourself that feel more compassionate, sustainable and authentic.

I work integratively and draw particularly from Gestalt therapy, with attention to your emotions, relationships, body, environment and lived experience.

I welcome LGBTQ+, trans and non-binary clients, alongside people from diverse cultural, relational and intersectional backgrounds.

Lived experience, culture & language
As a neurodivergent, mixed-race therapist with lived experience of ADHD and around 20 years of living internationally, I bring particular sensitivity to experiences of difference, masking, cultural identity and living between worlds.

Being mixed-race and having lived across cultures has shaped my interest in cultural differences, migration, identity, home and belonging - including what it can be like to feel connected to different places or cultures while sometimes wondering where you fully belong.

My experience will never mean that I assume yours is the same. Instead, I bring curiosity and respect for what your individual experiences mean to you.

I offer therapy in English and Spanish (terapia en español) and welcome English-speaking, Spanish-speaking and bilingual clients.

Online and telephone therapy
I offer online and telephone counselling across the UK, as well as working with clients living internationally where professionally appropriate.

Online and telephone therapy can be particularly helpful for ADHD, AuDHD and neurodivergent clients, as well as expats and internationally mobile people. It offers continuity, flexibility and the possibility of having therapy from your own environment - particularly when your location or circumstances change.

In-person, online and telephone therapy can all provide meaningful therapeutic support -what matters most is finding the format that feels comfortable, accessible and right for you.

I currently also offer some in-person sessions from my private practice in Camden, London, though there is currently a waiting list. I have immediate availability for online and telephone counselling.

What can therapy help with?
Our work may help you:

  • Feel less overwhelmed and more grounded
  • Understand your ADHD, AuDHD or neurodivergence more compassionately
  • Recognise masking, people pleasing and patterns of over-adapting
  • Understand your emotions, needs and boundaries more clearly
  • Navigate burnout, anxiety and major life transitions
  • Explore cultural identity and what home and belonging mean to you
reconnect with yourself and develop greater self-acceptance

Getting in touch
You might be experiencing ADHD or AuDHD burnout, masking, depression, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relocation, cultural adjustment or a major life transition. Or perhaps you are questioning your neurodivergence, your identity, where you belong - or simply know that something needs to change.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

I offer a free 20-minute introductory call where you can tell me a little about what is bringing you to therapy, ask questions and see whether working together feels right.

You’re welcome to get in touch. We can begin from wherever you are.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
