About me

Starting therapy can feel like a big and sometimes overwhelming step. I offer a gentle, compassionate space where you can bring whatever you’re carrying, without fear of judgment. You’re welcome just as you are. I believe that healing and change unfold through the relationships we build with ourselves, with others, and in the space between. My approach is rooted in deep curiosity, respect, and care for each person’s unique story.

I’m a BACP-qualified integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a variety of approaches and tailor our work to suit your needs as a whole person. These include psychodynamic therapy, exploring how early experiences and unconscious patterns shape us, as well as existential and humanistic perspectives that focus on meaning, presence, and your potential for growth. I also hold awareness of the wider world and the impact of systemic and social injustices that can make life more difficult.

Alongside talking therapy, I bring in my experience as a yoga teacher. We can gently explore how body awareness, breath, and grounding practices support your emotional wellbeing. If words feel too much, or not quite enough, I offer creative ways to express and explore what’s within, including art, movement, and sandtray. I also offer eco-therapy for those drawn to reconnecting with nature as part of their healing journey.

I see clients in Brighton on Mondays and Sundays, London Peckham on Tuesdays, London Islington on Thursdays.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have been training as a counsellor and psychotherapist since 2015 and I am currently undertaking an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the prestigious Minster centre, based in West London.

As well as being a BACP Qualified Counsellor, I hold an Advanced Diploma from The Institute of Art Therapies in Education and a Certificate in Counselling Skills from the Gestalt Centre.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Prior to my training, I worked for 15 years for various charities and not-for-profit groups, carefully telling the stories of marginalised groups and campaigning for human rights and social issues. These experiences have given me an understanding of how suffering can touch us all as individuals, and the far-reaching impact of systemic oppression.

Finding the right therapist is important. If you are curious about therapy with me, I offer a free 15 minute, online consultation to see if I’m a good fit for you.
