MBACP - Counselling

About me

My name is Angie and I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I hold a CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a PGCE Certificate in Education.

I offer counselling from my private practices in Ongar and Barkingside, Essex, as well as London, and provide online and telephone counselling. I am fully insured to work with individuals, couples, groups, and clients of all ages, including children.

I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and Unconscious Mind Therapy. This approach allows me to tailor each session to your individual needs, goals, and circumstances, offering a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace.

As a BACP member, I work within a strict ethical framework and attend regular clinical supervision to ensure best practice. All counselling sessions are confidential, respectful, and empathetic.

Alongside my private practice, I am also a Counselling Lecturer and Examiner, working with a range of awarding bodies and educational institutions. This role supports my clinical work by keeping my practice informed by current theory and ongoing professional development.

Where appropriate and with client consent, I also integrate counselling with complementary and holistic approaches, including Breathwork, Meditation, Sound Healing, Reiki, Reflexology, and Aromatherapy. In addition, I am a qualified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist and Integration Coach.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
