About me

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or navigating a major life change. Perhaps you feel stuck, uncertain, or disconnected from yourself or others. Whatever brings you to counselling, I offer a safe and confidential space where you can talk openly, be listened to with care, and begin to make sense of your experiences.

I work with adults, children (aged 10 and over), and couples, offering support that is thoughtful, evidence-informed, and tailored to your individual needs. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I will not judge, diagnose, or tell you what to do. Instead, I will work alongside you to explore your thoughts and emotions, identify patterns, and help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and greater resilience.

When working with children and young people, I use creative and play-based methods to help them express feelings they may find difficult to put into words. With couples, I draw on principles of Imago Relationship Therapy, supporting partners to improve communication, deepen connection, and move from conflict toward empathy and understanding.

My aim is to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel respected, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change — whether that’s managing emotional challenges, improving relationships, or developing a stronger sense of self.

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but it’s also an act of self-care. I offer an initial consultation so that we can discuss your needs and see how we might work together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
