About me

As a pluralistic counsellor, I work collaboratively with you, your unique experiences, feelings, concerns, anxieties, hopes, and potential. My approach supports you in developing resilience, deeper self-awareness, strengthening your relationship with yourself and others, and living a more authentic and fulfilling life.

In my work, I am particularly passionate about supporting and empowering women through different stages of life. This includes working with neurodiversity, crisis and major life transitions, relationships with self and others, addiction, childhood trauma, and issues around self-esteem and emotional regulation. I also have a strong interest in supporting women with parental challenges, postnatal depression, lone parenting, and the complex emotional experiences that can arise around fertility, sexuality, hormones, perimenopause, and menopause.

I offer a space where all parts of you are welcome - the strong parts, the vulnerable parts, and everything in between. I work in a compassionate, non-judgemental, and authentic way, supporting you to reconnect with yourself, make sense of your experiences, and develop greater confidence, balance, and agency in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience working across a range of settings, including the NHS, the charity sector, and research clinics, offering both short- and long-term counselling and psychotherapy as well as crisis support. Alongside my clinical work, I teach counselling skills at University of Aberdeen and mentor and coach neurodiverse students.
I bring a culturally sensitive approach to my practice and speak multiple languages, which supports me in working with people from diverse backgrounds.
I integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT, psychodynamic, person-centred and existential therapy. I also work with the understanding that our psychology is embodied and our feelings influence our bodies, just as our bodies influence our feelings and in my work I work somatically. This holistic and flexible way of working allows us to address immediate symptoms while also exploring the underlying patterns and dynamics that shape thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I believe that different things work for different people, and together we will explore what feels most helpful for you.

  • PgDip in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy at University of Aberdeen
  • Certificate in Counselling Skill at University of Aberdeen
  • Bsc in Foreign Languages and Literature at University of Bologna
  • HND in Sociology and Hispanic Studies at University of Aberdeen

I have also completed additional training in Embodied Practice and Trauma Masterclass at Gestalt Centre in London

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
