About me

Enabling adults, teenagers, and children to make significant improvements in their emotional well-being, is at the core of my practice.

I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with over 5 years of experience. My goal is to provide the support, tools, and understanding needed to navigate life’s challenges and foster lasting change. I also cater to the differing needs of my clients by offering both short-term and long-term therapy.

In addition to individual therapy, I also offer public and private workshops for parents, teachers, and students which focus on teaching and implementing strategies that help nurture our well-being. These include ways to communicate empathetically, manage stress and overwhelming emotions, as well as how to create emotionally supportive environments. By equipping parents, educators, and students with practical tools, I aim to create stronger, more supportive communities with a better understanding of mental health.

My Approach

I utilise an Integrative approach encouraging the therapeutic process to be client-led. This means each session is tailored to directly address my clients’ needs. My approach enables me to adapt throughout, using a range of therapeutic strategies to work with and guide each client.

Some of these strategies include art, play, and expressive techniques, which encourage self-reflection and provide a non-verbal outlet for emotions that may be difficult to articulate. This creative exploration can help uncover insights, foster emotional growth, and support healing in a unique and personal way.

I also focus on the body as a key component of mental health. I integrate physical strategies such as dance, movement, and breathwork to help my clients manage stress, release tension, and regulate overwhelming emotions. These practices are particularly helpful for those who find it challenging to process emotions verbally or are dealing with chronic stress or trauma.

When appropriate, my sessions touch on the neuroscience of stress, which can help my clients understand how stress affects the brain and body, and how emotions can manifest on a very physiological level. This can help empower clients to make use of techniques like movement and breathwork more effectively.

Trauma, grief, attachment ruptures, anxiety, depression, self-harm, bullying, stress, and low self-esteem can all feel difficult to unpack alone. Throughout my therapeutic practice, I have helped individuals unravel and understand what is at the heart of their unique experiences and provide them with the tools to nurture and maintain their well-being.

I believe that building a trusting therapeutic relationship is essential; I aim to be compassionate, warm, accepting, and non-judgemental with the intention of creating a safe and supportive environment where my clients can feel comfortable exploring their feelings and life experiences.

Training, qualifications & experience

In 2018, I began working as a child and adolescent psychotherapeutic counsellor in schools and charities. Alongside working on a one to one basis with children and teenagers, I also ran mental health related workshops for schools across London. These workshops focused on topics such as emotional regulation, compassionate parenting, how to manage stress and the importance of creative expression while exploring emotional experiences.

I opened my own private practice in 2021 and have since been working with individuals of all ages including children, teenagers and adults.

My clinical experience includes working with individuals who struggle with low self-esteem, self-harm, eating disorders, OCD, phobias, anxiety, depression, bereavement and trauma, health related issues, relationships, parental separation, stress and work.

I place a lot of importance on ensuring that I create a safe, inclusive space for my clients, with particular attention to neurodiversity, disability, race, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, spirituality, and religion.

By attending regular supervision as well as Career & Professional Development training (CPD), I also ensure that I continue to learn and develop. This has enabled me to remain professionally up to date, delivering and maintaining consistently high standards for my clients.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
