About me

My name is Adele, and I'm not your typical therapist.

I'm real. I'm approachable, and I don't think therapy should be some stale, clinical, sterile experience. I wouldn't expect that from my personal therapy, so I wouldn't want you to experience that either. (yes, therapists get therapy!)

I don't just put "approachable, non-judgmental, transformative" at the top of my page to be showy. I truly practice with those things in mind. I may have gone through lengthy and specific education/training to be in the role I'm in, but that doesn't make me any better than you or the "expert" of your life. You're the expert of your life... I am just trained and skilled at using naturally flowing conversation to elicit the change you're seeking.

Judgement has no place in therapy. I am honoured you choose to trust me, so no way am I going to tarnish that and ruin the therapeutic relationship with judging you.

Finally, if you put in the time, the effort, and the work during the therapy process, you will absolutely be transformed.

I'm willing to invest in you... Are you ready to invest in yourself?

Training, qualifications & experience

If you care about the more clinical stuff, like my treatment modality, I practice from a Pluralistic modality, including Psychodynamic, person-centred, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I have been working in the field of mental health support for adults and children in the past 15 years and also have skills and training in mentoring and coaching.

I have worked extensively with children and young people in schools, colleges and GP surgeries during my career, so I would be happy to support younger clients. |Head over to my children and young people's support section on my website for more information.

I am a qualified psychotherapist/counsellor and hypnotherapist with an accredited registration with the NCPS and studied for my qualification with Chrysalis.

Children And Young People

  • Growing up in today's world can be incredibly challenging
  • Every young person deserves to feel safe, heard and supported
  • I can create a space for them where they can be themselves and talk about their thoughts and feelings
  • They know better than anyone what's happening in their own lives, so I will listen without judgment
  • I can help a young person build confidence and the skills they need to be safe and to thrive

Therapy for men

For men, therapy is potentially embarrassing or massively uncomfortable. But you're not happy. Something is going on, and it's really difficult to cope with, your work is suffering. Your relationships are suffering. And most importantly, YOU'RE suffering.

Therapy can feel a bit awkward, absolutely. You come and sit with some stranger and pour your heart out. But if you're motivated and want to get out of this tough spot you're in, then therapy is a resource to figure some of this out and work towards feeling better.

So maybe give therapy a shot. Spill about your life, express yourself without being judged, and ideally get to a place where you are more functional and feeling more fulfilled.

Reach out! I'd love to chat.
