About me

"Victoria's distinctive approach has helped me feel more at peace when I rest, more assertive when I use my voice, and more empowered when I make decisions ... establishing manageable steps to improve my life. I'm reaping the benefits now, my work, family and romantic relationships have all improved…  " ET

I am an EMDR-trained, accredited counsellor and a coach. I aim to build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe and supportive. Everybody is different and has different needs. I draw on my experience and adapt my approach to what works best for you, always with the utmost respect and empathy.   I am a BACP-accredited therapist and adhere to the BACP's ethical guidelines.

I am very creative, and I use this skill with EMDR to help my clients find a sense of safety, to work through traumas and challenges, and to grow to their maximum potential.

I have been running creativity and creative visualisation workshops for years with great success. I love supporting artists and creators to overcome blocks and reach their vision.

Training, qualifications & experience

"I cannot recommend Victoria enough. Her ability to be dynamic to suit my needs and emotions is endless and brilliant. Victoria has provided counselling, EMDR and coaching and helped me deal with day to day practical things and the deep down emotional things.

The improvements I have made in my life with guidance from her have been huge and I feel like an entirely different and better version of myself.  If you are considering therapy I don’t think there is a better person for the job!" LS

My name is Victoria and I can help you live the life you want to live. I aim to build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe and supportive. Everybody is different and has different needs. I draw on my experience and adapt my approach to what works best for you, always with the utmost respect and empathy.

I have specialised in trauma and the management of anxiety, I am very creative and I use this skill with EMDR to help my clients find a sense of safety, and grow to their maximum potential. My clients feel safer, more resourceful, and creative, improve their coping strategies and lead a fuller life.

As a practising artist with an MA in Fine Art, I have mentored many artists, individually and in groups since 1997. I am a trained yoga teacher. Both enable me to work creatively to help clients deepen the connections between their emotions, body, and mind.

I am experienced (about 33 years) in the 12 steps in its wide spectrum. I have over 12 years of experience supporting people to recover from addictive behaviours, including food, love and sex addiction, codependency, and money issues. And I have worked one to one, in treatment centres and prisons supporting addicts, alcoholics and their families.

I also have  5 years of experience working internationally specialising in online counselling and I am a qualified Life/Wellness coach.

I have a regular yoga practice, and trained as a yoga teacher, in Rishikesh, India in 2012. All of this experience, informs and enriches my counselling practice, which I look forward to putting to your service to support you in your unique path. I look forward to meeting you.

"You have been my safe space for 2 years" F. L

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
