About me

Hello, my name is Adam. I am fully trained in person centered therapy which I can offer Face-to-Face, and remotely- via online or telephone. This is offered from ages 18 and above. I currently work at MIND, as a counsellor, working with a range of common and complex mental health issues including depression, anxiety, grief, low self- esteem and more.

My experience working with anxiety depression, and low self-esteem come from my own personal experience, study and research. I work with clients in a person centered way exploring past challenges that are effecting them in the present. By exploring these patterns we can create new ways of managing coping strategies.

I know first hand how hard life’s struggles can feel, which is why I’m so passionate about helping others. With four years of study, I dedicated myself to changing my circumstances, and now I use both my personal and professional experiences to support others on their own path to healing and transformation.

In our sessions, you’ll find a safe and non-judgmental space where we can work together to explore your challenges, build on your strengths, and move toward positive change. I am here to listen and facilitate a supportive environment for you to find your own answers, and search for what is right for you. I believe wholeheartedly in the power of resilience and the potential for growth in everyone.

If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d love to hear from you.

Let’s make todays challenges tomorrows strengths

Training, qualifications & experience

I have studied for 4 years in person centred therapy. I have obtained a qualification in therapeutic counselling, allowing me to practice as a fully qualified counsellor. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and psychotherapy (MBACP)

My background includes volunteer counselling roles with Basildon MIND and the Probation Service, where I provided support to individuals navigating complex emotional and psychological issues. Additionally, I have worked within the NHS in a forensic mental health inpatient facility, offering care to those with severe mental health challenges.
These experiences, combined with my formal training, have equipped me with a deep understanding of the intricacies of mental health and the importance of compassionate, individualized care. I also hold a Care Certificate, further demonstrating my commitment to maintaining the highest standards in my work.

In our counselling sessions, I provide a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe in the innate capacity for personal growth and healing within every individual, and my goal is to empower you to find your own path to well-being. Whether you are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or other life challenges, I am here to support you every step of the way.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
