Other areas of experience:
I also hold space for those going through experiences that can feel hard to talk about. This includes sleep paralysis, spiritual awakening, altered states of consciousness, and the exploration of dreams and symbolic experiences. I offer a safe, non-judgemental environment where these experiences can be shared and integrated into your life in a grounded way.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed four years of study in Person-Centred Therapy and hold a qualification in Therapeutic Counselling, enabling me to practise as a fully qualified counsellor. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), committed to upholding its ethical and professional standards.
My background includes counselling roles with Basildon MIND and the Probation Service, where I supported individuals facing complex emotional and psychological challenges. I have also worked within a forensic mental health inpatient setting, providing care to those living with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.
These experiences, combined with my formal training, have given me a strong foundation in understanding the complexities of mental health and the value of compassionate, personalised support. I also hold a Care Certificate, underscoring my commitment to delivering safe, respectful, and high-quality care.
In our counselling sessions, you’ll find a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. I believe wholeheartedly in each person’s capacity for healing and growth, and my aim is to support and empower you as you navigate your own path toward greater well-being. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or other life challenges, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
