About me

I provide supervision or psychotherapy, and am an experienced psychotherapist with excellent professional standards. I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy - Attachment based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, and I also provide supervision. I work via video link as I am now based in southern Spain. I can work with individuals from any country providing we find a compatible time to work. I see clients face to face if they are local or wish to visit from abroad. There is comfortable accommodation in the area.

I understand how daunting it can feel for some to begin psychotherapy and I offer a no-commitment initial consultation in which you can get a sense of me and how we work together. This consultation lasts for 50 minutes - 1 hour and is an opportunity for you to share as much as you like with me, in a confidential setting, and find out whether my style of therapy feels right for you.

I am experienced in working with trainees and I supervise other psychotherapists. I have published in the Journal of Attachment and have contributed a chapter ('It Takes a Village') in the forthcoming book, published by Karnac: 'Love in the Age of the Internet' edited by Linda Cundy. I have held a number of senior positions, including that of Vice Chair, with The Bowlby Centre psychotherapy training school where I have also held positions as a trainer and course tutor, mentoring, supporting and assessing psychotherapy trainees.

My work is informed by my working experience, my extensive life experience, the attachment thinking of John Bowlby, Psychoanalysis, the Relational school of psychoanalysis, and Intersubjective theory. I have also trained with The Minster Centre so have experience of Gestalt, Integrative, and Humanistic approaches.

Do view my website for further information at (Currently being updated to show new location) I have been practising psychotherapy since 2003 and am located in Osuna, Sevilla, Spain.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have worked in both my psychotherapy and advisor roles with a wide range of people, from different backgrounds, and with varying ethnicity, physical 'dis'ability, age, sexuality, culture, religion, and including men, women, and teenagers. The challenges my clients face have included depression, eating disorders, sexual difficulties, relationship problems, diagnosis of 'personality disorder', 'bipolar disorder', shyness and social phobia, self harm, and OCD amongst other difficulties. I have qualified in Attachment Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with the Bowlby Centre (formerly the Centre for Attachment Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy), London. I have also trained in Integrative Psychotherapy at the Minster Centre, London - a total of 10 years of training and intensive (weekly) supervision. I am involved in Continuing Professional Development on an ongoing basis, a UKCP requirement for all psychotherapists registered with them.

I hold senior membership of Kings College, University of Cambridge and membership of the Bowlby Centre.
