Most of us experience rocky patches at times, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship problems and trauma, so being able to have the opportunity to tell me your story and gain insight and perspective whilst finding the way forward, can be a welcome relief.
I also help people who are experiencing sight loss or live with someone that is. Talking to a counsellor who understands can be hugely beneficial, especially at the point of diagnosis where you may experience challenging and painful emotions. Together we will work on regaining your confidence and positivity for your daily life.
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist with many years of experience in helping people achieve optimal emotional wellbeing. I have worked with organisations including Mind, Samaritans, Family Centres, Adult Continuing Education, Social Services and across the voluntary sector.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) I work within the BACP Ethical framework.
My private practice is in a tranquil setting in the heart of Winchester with parking near by and good public transport links. A confidential, safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings and emotions to obtain some clarity over them. I am also able to offer home visits within a 30 mile radius of Winchester, within Hampshire, if this is preferred.
I aim to offer a service that's trustworthy, confidential and beneficial for you. I am an upbeat, insightful, approachable person and we will be working together towards positive change.
As well as one to one sessions I also run workshops including, improving your confidence, assertiveness techniques, how to lift depression, dealing with anxiety, anger management and laughter therapy workshops.
Take a look around my website www.talktoshirley.co.uk, or give me a call on 07846 729042 you have nothing to lose except how you feel right now about yourself and your life.
