Profile
Sesame Counselling Service was set up in the early 1990's to offer a low cost counselling service to the residents of Newport and surrounding areas. The name 'Sesame' - open door - reflects our commitment to offer a service to all people over the age of 16 who feel they might benefit from counselling support.
We are open from 6 – 9pm on Tuesday evenings throughout the year, apart from Bank Holidays, and are located in Park Square Newport.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
Sesame currently has 12 counsellors who come from a variety of backgrounds and are at different stages of their counselling careers. We seek to encourage the particular style and skill that each counsellor contributes while keeping our focus firmly on our client's needs.

Fees
Sesame is a voluntary organisation. As a registered charity, we rely on donations made by our clients and we ask each of our clients to give what they can afford. This is done in the knowledge, that by making use of our services, you are ensuring that we can help others in the future. Your counsellor will discuss and agree with you in the first session how much you are able to donate.
