About me

Thank you for stopping by.

I am aware it can be hard to look for the right help at the right time.  And maybe you already had some therapy and you may feel it was not as successful as you had hoped. That is OK because sometimes it takes time to fully recover.

I believe that most of our psychological issues come from past events that are not “properly” stored in our brain. Together, we will look at what happened to you (not what is “wrong” with you), and what is the way to recover from that.

I will try to help you to feel safe again and improve your quality of life. We will try to leave past in the past, since most of our problems were once solutions! We will strive to understand this inner logic and make a decision of its current usefulness.

In our sessions we will not “only talk”, but we will safely re-process the painful and disturbing memories, so that you can feel like yourself again and move on.

I am trained in well researched and effective models of therapy such as:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – this is a recommended therapy for trauma / ptsd, and other persistent psychological difficulties (e.g. depression, anxiety, sleep disorder, OCD);
  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, known as "tapping") – this model is based on energy psychology, and it revolves around “emotional acupuncture”. Research studies are growing in this area and EFT can be of help for people with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, psychosomatic issues, pain, unhelpful urges and ptsd.
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) inc. trauma focused CBT. The therapy is focused on our thoughts, and how they impact our feelings and behaviour. It is recommended for a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, trauma.

I utilize them to get the best possible results and help you to feel better. When inside we feel stable and safe, life does not need to be this hard anymore.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
