I am a fully qualified, BACP registered psychotherapist specialising in working with grief, anxiety and depression, relationships, childhood trauma and abuse. I can help you to explore and understand the issues that are difficult in your present and past so that you can live the life that you want.
Can counselling help me?
When people are experiencing hard times it can be incredibly daunting to take those first steps towards help and support. This is where counselling or 'talking therapies' may be able to help. Here are some testimonials from my clients past and present so that you can see what they have gained from coming to therapy with me.
'I have changed so much. Therapy has been a fantastic experience. Meg has helped me to explore what I was finding so difficult in my marriage and I am now much happier, calmer and living more fully'
'It was great to be really listened to without judgement. I could see everything much clearer and that helped me to decide what I wanted to do'
'I have started looking after myself, I didn't even realise I wasn't doing that before therapy. I'm trying to put myself first more often'.
'After having therapy with Meg for just a few months I can honestly say that I have made more progress within myself than ever before in my 42 years of life. Meg has helped me to deepen my understanding of who I am and with her support and guidance I have expanded my self awareness and started upon a path that I have been searching for my whole life.'
I utilise a branch of psychotherapy known as Transactional Analysis (TA) which can be modified and used in many different ways depending on your individual needs. The initial session
I can offer you a free 30-minute no-obligation session. This is an opportunity to meet and talk through the difficulties you are currently experiencing. I will ask you some questions to get an idea of the issues and explain how I work. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions and we can decide if we wish to work together. I am happy to refer you to other therapists if necessary.
How long will I need to come for?
I offer both short, medium or long term therapy to suit your needs. The number of sessions that you might have varies from person to person. It is entirely up to you to decide the longevity of your therapy and we will regularly review our work together so that you can get the most out of your sessions.
Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly.
Please feel free to contact me to arrange an initial appointment or to ask any questions.
