Laura Knight Dip.Couns Registered Member MBACP-SeeClear Counselling
Hello my name is Laura, I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor and I am passionate about helping people find a way to a more fulfilling life.
Sometimes it can be difficult to talk to your partner, friends or family about personal issues, difficult feelings or things that are worrying you.
Talking to me as a trained counsellor may be easier. I can help you understand your feelings, thoughts and relationships, providing you with the tools to help you make changes you feel will lead to a more fulfilled life. I will work alongside you so that we build a relationship based on trust, understanding and respect, allowing you to have a safe place to explore, develop & change.
It is important to me that you feel you are being truly listened to and have a safe and confidential place where you can be yourself.
Counselling is not the same experience for everyone, that is why I work with you at a pace that feels right for you.
It may be problems from the past that are bothering you, fear of the future or you may be going through a particularly difficult time in your life at the moment, as I have trained in a range of counselling skills, this enables me to find the approach that works best for you and is most appropriate for the issues you are experiencing.
I have successfully helped people cope with a range of problems including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, low-self-confidence, work related stress, trauma, abuse, self-harm, domestic violence, relationship issues and family issues.
Counselling will only be useful to you if you feel comfortable, safe and truly listened to.That is why I offer a FREE 30 minute introductory session, which allows us to get to know each other and discuss how we can work together.
I believe counselling should be available to everyone. Please do not let cost be a barrier to you accessing counselling when you need it most, I can offer reduced rates so please do ask if cost is a worry for you.
If you would like to find out more why not visit my website, or call or message me if you have any questions, if I do not answer the phone please leave me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can, generally the same day.

Were you a victim of Childhood abuse?
I specialise in working with people who have experienced emotional, physical or sexual abuse in their childhood.
I currently volunteer at an agency who offer support to survivors of childhood abuse, be it emotional, physical or sexual abuse. I know how difficult it can be to talk about the past and how it may be impacting on your life today. If you feel it is time to take steps to work with this, I can offer you a safe, confidential and understanding environment where we will work at a pace that is right for you. This work can often be long term work and I offer rates that reflect this.

My standard session fee is £35.
However I believe Counselling should be available to everyone and cost should not be a barrier to you being able to access Counselling.
I therefore offer a sliding scale depending on your circumstances, which we discuss at your FREE Introductory session.
I also offer a discount for block bookings as attending counselling on a weekly basis is shown to be more beneficial.
