Karen Brown - Registered Member BACP
BSc Hons in Psychology and Counselling. I have a warm character and a genuine desire to help you
'Life' can be difficult and whatever resonates with you, a long term problem, an immediate crisis or if you are just feeling stuck. I am able to offer you a calm space where you have the opportunity to explore what has prompted you to seek counselling.
Some of the areas of counselling clients come to see me about include: Trauma, Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Panic Disorder, Relationship Issues, Family Issues, Affairs and betrayals, Separation and Divorce, Addictions. Anger management, Low self Esteem, Self Harm, Bereavement, Eating Disorders, Addictions (please see full list below)
Many of my clients have benefited from MBSR (Mindful based stress reduction). I aim to help clients gain a healthy work/life balance and offer exam stress relief techniques to students. At the end of our sessions you will have a 'tool box' to take with you as you continue your journey through life.
I am experienced in working with both one to one and couples counselling. I will work with you in an Integrative/Holistic way. Drawing from different models of therapy allows me to tailor each session to your particular needs.
Sessions can be long term/short term/time bonded.
I have worked with young people and have volunteered with a charity that offered counselling to young people age between 14 - 25. I also have experience of working with children and young people who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. I have volunteered with a cancer charity supporting both those with a diagnosis of cancer and their families.
I work both in Surrey and Sussex. All locations have free parking and are close to transport links.
