Welcome to Positive Change Counselling and Therapy Service. I'm Juliet and I have the pleasure of being able to offer you a warm, comforting and confidential service from my private therapy room at home in Newcastle. Here I counsel children and families, couples and those with presenting issues such as bereavement and loss, separation, anger, stress and anxiety, coming to terms with redundancy/retirement, terminal illness, spiritual meaning and purpose and weight management amongst others.
If you are looking for ways to manage anxiety I can show you mindfulness and visualisation techniques that can help to ease your anxiety and help you to become more fully present in the moment with a clearer sense of clarity and focus.
I also provide counselling to university students and staff in schools.
I have a particular interest in counselling children and adults with Aspergers and helping those who have not been diagnosed to access the relevant services.
I have extensive experience providing therapeutic support to children, young people and adults. My background is diverse as I have worked within the criminal justice/leaving care system, integrated family support, child protection and provided therapeutic counselling to young people in rehab.
I hold a recent enhanced DBS and professional indemnity and liability insurance.
Please don't hesitate to pick up the phone and contact me for an informal chat about how counselling may be of benefit to you. It would be lovely to hear from you.
