Training, qualifications & experience
I trained as a Psychologist and as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist in Brazil and had the opportunity to develop my professional career within the mental health and psychiatric fields. I had my knowledge base, skills and experience updated in the USA and in the UK, where I retrained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor. I have worked in a variety of settings including the voluntary, private and educational sectors. I am a Lecturer in Higher education at Masters level, supervising, assessing, teaching, and training future counsellors, therapists and social workers. I am a supervisor of MA students' research dissertations, and I supervise students' clinical work through clinical case management seminars. I am a MSc university lecturer working on a highly ranked UK university. I am also a clinical supervisor of individuals and groups.
