I'm a professional, qualified counsellor with experience in the mental health setting as well as individual work in primary care. I have also worked in the private sector working with clients suffering from eating disorders.
What to expect: Psycotherapy focuses on you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your thoughts and emotions and times in your life. It helps you to change or find suitable ways of coping. After an initial appointment, there is no requirement to proceed should you choose not to. We use a safe space to talk about the unresolved difficulties for which you require psychotherapy. Our first meeting will be an opportunity for us both to discuss confidentiality and see how we relate to each other.
